The non-captive PM linear stepper motor utilizes an internal rotating nut embedded directly inside the motor rotor. The precision lead screw passes completely through the center of the motor shaft. When the screw is fixed to an external load that prevents rotation, the screw translates axially through the motor body.

This through-shaft permanent magnet linear actuator offers complete flexibility in travel stroke, as screw length is not limited by the motor housing size. It provides a compact, low-cost solution for versatile linear positioning across varied machinery footprints.
