The non-captive hybrid ACME lead screw stepper motor utilizes an internal rotating nut permanently embedded inside the motor rotor. The ACME lead screw passes completely through the center shaft of the motor body. When the screw is secured to an external carriage that prevents rotation, the screw translates axially through the motor.
This through-shaft linear stepper actuator design offers total flexibility in travel stroke, as the screw length is not restricted by the motor housing. It is the premier choice for long-travel, space-saving linear motion systems in industrial automation.
